CHOOSING NECKLACES FOR NECKLINES

 Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Sure our week has been going on well.
Recently, I was thinking on how our jewelries go well with our necklines, truth be told there are some necklaces/jewelries that does not go well on some dressing but we just go ahead with them because we are either ignorant or we just do not care.
so i started my research and here is what I found:

Different necklines look better with certain necklace styles.

Turtle necks – best with longer necklaces

Crew necks – best with short necklaces such as necklace ‘collar’ or bib styles

Scoop necks – fill in the space with multiple strands of beads or larger scale pendants

Strapless – look great with chokers or short pendants, leaving your lovely decolletage bare

Square necks – look for pendants with an angular finish to harmonize with the angular neckline

Asymmetric necklines – look for necklaces that aren’t symmetrical, instead a necklace that has it’s own
asymmetry can work, alternatively a long string of different sized and shaped beads can work well.

Halter necks – these create a narrow V neck – so look for a narrow pendant with a sharper end

V neck – ideally a necklace that matches the shape of the V – depending if it’s a wider or narrower V neck.

Collared shirt (button down) – there isn’t much space for anything too wide, so a choker style works if you have a long neck, if not a slimmer pendant that sits above the last open button.

Boat neck – a long string or two of beads is ideal for this neckline.

Cowl neck – this neckline is already detailed and has volume, so either a short and small pendant or a pair of feature earrings instead of a necklace.

Sweetheart – a curved necklace that has width that will balance the open decolletage of this neckline.

I hope this helps*winks

Remain beautiful.

CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRIES

It’s been a while; I can’t believe I posted last in February 2013. A lot has been going on in my life this past few months; I have been serving my country, lost my grandma (a very dear mother) etc.

Trying to ensure a workable balance between NYSC and growing business has not been easy, I have done couple of designs though, have not just had time for this blogging thingy.

I was really hoping that I would have put up this post on caring for your accessories especially beads before now but however, it’s better late than never.

As you all know at prissy accessories we have a passion for handcrafted beaded jewelry. We are dedicated to making jewelry that you will love!
It is stylish, elegant and affordable
It can also be very delicate and remember, fashion jewelry is not meant to last forever. By following these simple jewelry care tips, you will get the best wear and longevity possible from your beaded jewelry.
Never allow your jewelry come in contact with oils, perfumes, deodorants, body creams containing hydroquinone or any harsh chemicals. This will cause the jewelry to discolour and fade.
Remember, costume jewelry plating is usually very thin and will eventually wear off, so before you do the dishes, hop into the shower, or go to the gym, remove all your fashion jewelry, including your favorite everyday pieces, to prevent any type of liquid damage.
To protect your fashion jewelry especially beaded jewelry from getting scratched, tarnished, chipped or damaged in any way, wrap items individually in tissue paper and store in unabrasive pouches- opt for either satin, velvet pouches or boxes
After each use, wipe sweat off your jewelry using a soft cloth or an eyeglasses cleaning cloth.
Here are some pictures of pouches

Treat your fashion jewelry with tender loving care and try not to apply stress to the item of jewelry.
Thank you for your time.
